Hi Angela,
We just want you to know how happy we are with Tuxy. We
kept his descriptive name... He is now Tux, Tuxy, Tuxee-da, Tux Choco
and Tucky. (Alina cannot say the x yet.) He is training easily, he is
growing quickly and making us smile with his silliness all day long. He
is so gentle with our toddler, and patient. We get endless compliments
on him, no one here in Michigan
seems to breed parti poodles. He is unique! People stop and ask if he
is a water dog, or a springer spaniel... He got along well with our old
cat, she definitly put him in his place. He actually obeyed the "no
touch" command with kitty. His buddy though passed away this week, he
was a sad puppy missing his 20 year old old Snowshoe cat "sweetpee."
We were wondering if you had any baby
photos of tux for us, even the photo from his listing on puppy find.
We
are Tuxified tuxaholics for our tux puppy! Maybe someday we will get
him a buddy to hang with. He is amazing. We need more parti poodles in
Michigan!

Phoebe is about 11 months now and weighs 85 pounds. She is a lovely
big
bear of a dog. She loves to play with and is gentle with our 9
grandchildren.
She has a delightful sense of humor and loves to play
with sticks
and throw them up in the air. She will also play soccer
and push a
big ball around the back yard alone or with the kids. She
loves to
play with other dogs, take walks and be with family. She
chases the
deer that occasionally enter our back yard and likes to
flush the
quail in the bushes.
We had her professionally trained. She was
housebroken with ease. She
heals off lead, sits, and stays. She is
also trained to go to a mat
and stay until we invite her to come.
This has been great when we
have guests that are not as found of
Phoebe as we are and we need her
to limit her activity and remain
still and out of the way. You can
go
up to her and pet her, or the grandchildren will tackle her and
she
will not come off the mat until either my wife or I invite her to
do
so.
She goes on "play dates" with a dog named Alta that is
half her size
and plays until both are exhausted. She then comes
home and sleeps
like a log through the night. She is a good guard
dog and has a nice
deep voice when someone approaches the house.
She
is great company and affectionate. She communicates her needs to
us
if she needs a drink of water or wants to go out for a moment to
relieve
herself. If your not careful she loves to jump in the shower
or any
puddle of water. She will dive into a small irrigation ditch
in
front of our home and run back and forth splashing as she goes.
Although
active, she does not require a tremendous amount of exercise
although
we usually go on half mile walk or so once or twice a day.
We
have had 5 or six big dogs during our lifetime (German shepherds,
poodles,
dobermans) and Phoebe is as good as it gets. She is well
tempered,
well proportioned and good looking. If you are out on a
walk
everyone likes to say hello to her and ask what kind of a dog we
have.

HI ANGELA, I AM HAVING SOOOOOO MUCH FUN. WHAT A
DARLING DOG WITH A PERSONALTY THAT IS AS BEAUTIFUL AS SHE IS. NOT A
PEEP ALL NIGHT AND GOT UP EARLY BECAUSE I COULDNT STAND IT ANY LONGER.
SHE IS GETTING ALONG WELL WITH THE OTHER DOG I HAVE AND THEY WITHIN A
DAY WILL BE BEST FRIENDS. THE DOG I HAVE IS EXTREMELY WELL BEHAVED AND
SHE WILL LEARN FROM HIM AND ALREADY CAME AS A KIND DOG. I AM SO
THRILLED AND THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH. LOVE SUE ROWE OH HER NAME IS
DAISY. DONT ASK ME WHY. |
Hi Angela,
Yes, we love her, she is very smart, very, very sweet in demeanor and
is extremely good with my daughter. She adores my daughter and Aspen is
her dog, Aspen gets so happy...she is one bundle of excitement, when my
daughter comes home from pre school.
She has been practicing her bark skills now, three times in two weeks..
lol lol My husband finally heard it last night when taking them out for
the nightly. She started barking, but it was more like a howl, and it
sounded more wild than dog, my husband loved it, just thought it was so
cute how she was now practicing her barking.. she is not a barker
(obviously) but apparently will let us know when something is in our
yard, and that is what we wanted. She is very agile, we are going to do
lure coursing with her because she is so fast and her agility is
uncanny. As I mentioned in the past we plan on doing some therapy work
for people who are sick to bring a smile. Her demeanor is so sweet, I
have not seen any aggression at all with people. Now, Bearsly upsets
her sometimes, but he pushes, pushes, pushes and annoys her like boys
do.. lol lol lol
He is so funny with her, won't leave her alone, always wants to play
with her, and steal her bones, upon the hundredth time he takes her
bone, she gets mad. I was reading about breeding, and watch a science
program, and you obviously bred two very wonderful tempered dogs, and
congratulations that you chose do to that. We have had Irish Wolfhounds
in the past, and I feel as confident with Aspen with my daughter, as I
did with the Irish Wolfhounds. You see Irish Wolfhounds are one of the
oldest breeds on records and they have no child issues at all, have not
hurt a child on record. They are only fierce when provoked, we lived in
Colorado, and a lot of dog owners lost there dogs to Coyotes and the
Mountain Lions, so I wanted a breed that was wonderful with children, a
Large Breed, but not an aggressive breed.
I have had dogs almost all my life and Aspen is the best dog I have
ever had, she is not destructive, she only does things when Bearsly
shows her... She is not a barker, just a companion dog, that has a
guard personality and a wanting to please demeanor. She certainly wants
to please us, so I am sure you have gotten that we are very happy.
Tonight she is done with the boosters, and she is in puppy school
tonight, she had her first class last week, she has only one other
puppy in the class. It is a wheaten puppy, and the intelligence level
is not even in comparison, you can see Aspen is way smarter, this dog
had a lot of aggression as this breed can be known to have. Aspen is
much bigger and just let's the dog be aggressive and then comes by the
legs. By the end of the class, the puppy realized who was Alpha and the
wheaten became super submission, by no aggressive actions by Apsen.
Aspen is potty trained, that did take some work, but only because of
the size of my home, it is has a lot of room for her to play. She was
crate trained in one day, she knows sit, stay, come, treat, and a
couple more and she is only three months old. She was 33 pounds two
weeks ago at her check up. She was professionally groomed Saturday and
did very well with the groomer. If people ask you about getting two, I
recommend getting two puppies of this breed, because they keep each
other company. I am home all the time, but when I do errands or see
friends, they are not so upset. The love to sit on my deck which sits
very high and watch the people off the trail, it seems to be a game of
who spots who on the trail. They also play so well with one another, in
many ways it is easier having two of this breed.
I will keep sending photos so you can show other people how the mature,
and it is exciting to see her new colors come in, she has a salt and
pepper face, extremely adorable.
Aspen does not shed at all, she seems to be hypo allergenic. My
daughter does have an allergic reaction to dogs, that is why we had to
adopt out our wolfhound, we did not have any dogs for two years and
Aspen and Bearsly are our first since knowing about her allergy. She
has had no issues with these puppies and she was rated 2.5 out of 5 for
reaction to dogs. Bearsly has slight shedding in the bath, but Aspen
has absolutely none, so I thought you should know this.
Kindest Regards,
Susan |

Hey
just an update on the puppy that
we bought from you in September!! We are the ones from Saint Charles,
MO and we got #3Girl! She is a joy!! She is 6 months old
(almost 7)
and is about 55 pounds...She is still slightly underweight but we are
working on that!! She was only 12 pounds when we got her home and she
is too busy to eat with the other dogs so we have to feed her in the
bathroom in the morning while we get ready for work!!
She loves to take showers and
loves the other dogs in our family!! She is great with kids and
likes
to sneak in at night and try to get by with sleeping in our bed! (Not
enough room with her long body and legs in our Queen sized bed!!!)
She is taller than our lab now at
the shoulders and just plain looks like a bear when she is walking in
the yard!! She is so well behaved--does not need to be tied up
when we
let her out in the yard--she stays right in our yard and never
leaves.
She is happy to sit at our feet, Or in our laps when we are lazing
around!
My husband is talking about
another one next fall?!?!? Not sure where we would put another
one but
I guess we can always make room for another Schnoodle!! We have
had
people ask about her on a regular basis --I love taking her to the pet
store!! She gets all kinds of looks and lovin'!!
Are you planning on having any litters in the next year or
so!? If so, let us know ---Thanks , Shelly Jones |

I'll send better pictures but just a reassurance that Etta is
doing well and is getting along well with our schnauzer, Winston. We
love her. My kids are coming home from boarding school Friday-what a

Here's our girl- only a much smaller
version. She's an awesome dog with a wonderful personality. This
is from several weeks ago. Right now she weighs about 30 pounds
and is getting bigger every day. She's been very easy to train and is
almost fully housebroken. When we keep her on the hardwood
floors, we never have an issue. If she gains access to the
upstairs and hits the carpeting, we have a few accidents. Our
only other issue has been chewing which she likes to limit to people!
Our vet assures us that we only have a few more weeks to go and all of
her adult teeth will be in and that won't be an issue.
We are amazed that we have a dog with gorgeous fluffy hair that doesn't
shed a bit! We now think people are crazy for considering any
other kind of dog. A black poodle the same age as Kelsey just
moved in down the street. We're eager to have them play together
because Kelsey definitely misses her brothers and sister. Unfortunately
the poodle has some highly contagious illness right now
so we're keeping them apart. Kelsey is current on all of her
shots but we don't want to take any chances.
Needless to say, we are thrilled with her and so happy that she's a
part of our family. Every time people ask us about her, we tell
them about you. You all are the best. Hope you had a
wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year.

She’s awesome! The drive was brutal and we
didn’t make it home until 12:30. She was an amazing traveler which made
it much more fun. Finally came up with a name around 8 hours into
the drive. It’s Kelsey to go with the Irish names of our
daughters, Kendall and Devlin.
Everyone who meets her raves about how
sweet she is. She’s great with the girls. For the first two
days we were worried that she couldn’t walk because her feet never
touched the ground as she was being carried so much. She’s also
doing really well sleeping. The first night she cried three
separate times and each time we took her out and she went to the
bathroom. Next two nights she only cried once and needed to go
out. Last night she slept from 10-6, so that’s going really well.
Right now she’s a chewing fiend so we’re
trying to keep her focused on chew toys instead of furniture and
feet. Today she’s going to the vet at 2:00 so we can find out
what schedule she needs to be on for her shots.
She loves being outside which is great
since the weather has been really nice. We all hang out together
and run her around until she’s worn out. Her favorite thing is
chasing falling leaves so we’re well protected on that front.
All in all, we couldn’t be happier.
She’s a great dog who clearly comes from great parents and a great
family. Thank you so much! When I get a chance, I’ll load
some photos of her.

Hi Angela!
I
just wanted to give you a little update on “Finnegan” – he is the most
wonderful dog I could imagine!! He is so loyal, well behaved, and
just so much fun. He goes to doggy day care while I am at work so
he is very spoiled and happy. He potty trained in no time, and we
go to puppy training classes every week where he is the star. The
other puppy owners joke with me that he is actually 7 years old and I’m
bringing him to puppy training to make the other dogs look bad. I
can’t believe how smart he is and how quickly he picks up on
things. Also, I live by myself in the city, and he is a great
watch dog. Anytime we are out walking at night and someone
approaches me that I don’t see coming, he definitely makes their
presence known, so I feel very safe with him. People stop my on
the street daily to ask where I got him and comment on how cute he
is. I could go on and on forever, but I just wanted to tell you
that everything is going great, and to thank you again for everything!
If you ever need a glowing reference, feel free to give out my
number/email address.
Thank
you again!

Hi Angela,
I thought you might like a
one year report on Reggie. He tops the scales at 100 pounds! Can't
figure out how he managed to get so BIG! But he is indeed a "gentle
giant". People just flock to him wherever we go. They want to pet him
(he loves it!) and they want to know what breed he is.
We are still working toward
certification for Animal Assistanted Therapy. I think we will certify
within the next 6-8 months. On good days he could probably pass the
test now; but his behavior isn't yet as consistent as it must be to
work as a therapy dog . He is still a puppy!!
And with his size, we must
have complete control.
I am attaching some
pictures.
Best,

Hi Angela,
Apple is doing great.
She is a very devoted, loving dog. She follows us
everywhere. She likes to go in her crate at times. I’ll say
“I have to go to work now” and she goes in right away. We never
leave her more than a few hours at a time, and not every day. We
have her groomed about every 3 weeks now, not always a trim, usually a
bath and some clipping. She is a very good watch dog, very
protective of us, but not aggressive. She loves our 4 year old
grandson, sometimes gets a little too rough with him, we have to watch
closely. We took her to puppy obedience class, she did very
well. She knows sit, down, give, leave it, her name. We’ll
probably take her to another obedience class as a refresher. The
only negative is our beautiful green lawn is burned in spots by her
urine. I can’t seem to correct that. I bought some pills
which I give her every day. They’re supposed to balance the
acidity in her urine, but it doesn’t seem to make a difference
yet. Any suggestions? She also likes to dig, and has dug up
some of our drip irrigation system. Here in
California
we have to water a lot. I’d be happy to talk or email to anyone
interested in your pups. We’re very happy with her. She is
amazingly beautiful. We never go anywhere without her and people
always stop us and comment on how beautiful and sweet she is. She
is so big, about 90+ pounds. She always likes to walk between our
legs when we come home. Now she is almost too tall to do that
without our lifting one of our legs so she can pass through!
I’ll be gone 7/8-7/16 to
Hawaii
, but I’d love to talk or email anyone before I leave or when I get
home.
Hi Angela,
Hawaii
was awesome. Apple is doing great. She is so smart and
affectionate, and very protective of the family. She loves our
little grandson, and he loves her so much. It’s so cute to see
them together. I’m happy to talk to any potential Giant Schnoodle
owners. When she stands on her back legs she can look me in the
eye, I’m 5’5”. She used to like to walk between our legs, and now
she’s too tall. I think she weighs 90=95#. She creates a
sensation wherever we take her. People love her. I always
tell them where we got her!

Hi Angela: I'm
Colleen, the one that flew from
Idaho
to
Cincinnati
and my sister and I met you at the gas station to pick up our
schnoodle. His name is Kaiser (means
German Emperor). My husband and kids names him because he is
sooooo big. He's already 21 pounds.
(born March 3). I think he's going to be
more than 50 pounds! What a sweetie though. He made a
5 hour plane ride back to
Boise
without a peep! No drugs, and I put him in the cabin with
me. A man sitting next to me on the airplane fell in love
with him. I kept unzipping
the bag he was in and he'd stick his
head out and look around. The man (who was a big executive
at some company in a fancy suit) kept talking to Kaiser like he
was a human baby. It was great. The man forgot there
was a plane full of people and he was talking "baby talk" to him
the entire plane ride. People were looking at him like he
was crazy! That's what a puppy will do to you!!
Took him to the vet,
and he's great. Kaiser eats like a pig...we have to really
control it. Our four year old schnauzer Palmer loves him
more than life! They play and wrestle all day long and
are exhausted at the end of the day. Almost house
trained. We're having
to use the crate. He's spoiled rotten to
the core. So, so, so sweet. We can't believe what a
great disposition he has. He gets
baths a lot. He and palmer have a rope
toy. His favorite thing to do is play tug of war and chew
his chewy toy. He's our little bear.
We'll send pictures soon. It's hard to
get a good picture of a black dog. He has a periwinkle blue
handkerchief around his neck which is cute. It helps us
find him!!
More later. Colleen
and Family
I think Paris is her mom. No I don't think you can do anything to better the breed. She is wonderful. She is just terrible, just kiddiour other schnauzers didn't grow up until they were 2. i hope that is going to happen with molly. I must say she is a very devoted dog. She follows me everywhere and will not stay in a room without me, unless it is with otr boys when they are in bed. I like her smaller size. she is a big dog, but not huge. You have great dogs and as you promised me great temperments. That was and is the most important thing to me. she is sleeping on the bed behind me has i am writing this. she likes to sleep with all four in the air. Keep up the great temperment and the cute dogs.
Meg
Angela,
I've attached a picture of Foster that was taken for our school's annual calendar - the theme this year was "teacher's pets." Foster is a great dog - he's plateaued at about 110 lbs, and is good natured and well behaved - mostly. We're still working on come when called and stopping him from jumping on people, but that's as much our fault as his for not making sure it happens every time.He really doesn't shed at all, which means he's welcome on the couch or in the bed, although it's pretty crowded at times.
Thanks
Chris and Natalie Davies with Foster
Emma has filled out and the vet said she is IDEAL! A whopping 72 lbs of fitness and beauty!
Here is a recent picture of her with her new best friend Cayenne (Ki for short). We worked with Emma at the service dog academy and she is just too friendly to pass the good canine award. She wants to stop and visit with everyone, people and dogs alike. Very well behaved, but fails on the ignoring others….Ki has been a wonderful addition to the family and so good for Emma. They play and play and play. They come to work with me and are the official red arrow greeters. Very interested to see a picture of the brindle that was in Emmas litter. I just saw my first one and they are beautiful
Liz Lasater
Hi Angela!
Wanted to send you a recent picture of the pups at daycare as well as provide you a quick update on how AWESOME they’re doing! Cecil Clark is 1 ½ years old now and tops out at 90 lbs. He’s calmed down tremendously and doesn’t even need to be crated when I’m at work during the day. He’s never shown any aggression toward dogs or people and just lets little kids in the neighborhood hug all over him. He’s so laid back, goofy, and social, I love it! Ernest Eldon is already 4 months and over 30 lbs.. he’s just the sweetest little baby. He’s getting much better with his potty training and only has an accidently every now and then and is starting to sleep all through the night! (yes!) He’s crazy smart and listens so well, too… it cracks me up how attentive he is! I’ll yell his name from across the field and he just comes sprinting and wagging his little nub in excitement. He doesn’t even require a leash when we go for walks.
Both Cecil and Ernest follow me around the house everywhere and just lay at my feet when I get ready in the mornings or am in the kitchen. It helps to take them to daycare because then when I get home, they are just exhausted and cuddly! J Some of their favorite things to do are play at the dog park (they are both crazy social and get all the attention!), swim in the river (they love water…. Sprinklers, shower, sink, etc.!), wrestle around the house with each other, and get spoiled at grandma’s house with baked treats! I’ve never ran into another Giant Schnoodle but get compliments on these two everywhere I go… people say they’re just the happiest looking dogs they’ve ever seen. I would have to agree! I recommend them to everyone I know looking for a dog.. who wouldn’t want a happy, laid back, big teddy bear, non-shedding, non-drooling, non-aggressive baby?!! J
I could not be happier with both pups I got from you! I can’t believe how much personality they each have and I just love them so much! Thank you thank you!
~Kayla
Hey there!
The puppy has transitioned very well so far! We're working on potty training him and he seems to be picking it up pretty quickly. He and our other dog, Curly, are new best buds! They both love to run around our acreage chasing grasshoppers, birds, and frogs! Here are a few pictures of him (yes, he got a haircut-we have cockleburs where we live and they are so difficult to get out of long hair!)
We'll keep sending pictures as he grows! Thanks again!

Hi Angela.
Here's a couple of recent photos. Lucy had a hard time with Gibs at first but they are becoming good buds. He really is a good boy. Just a pup!
Hope all is well with you.

Hi there! Colt is doing so well! Here he is with our 3 year old son Mason. He weighs a little over 80 pounds and still has a lot of puppy left in him. We love him dearly as he plays so well with our boys. We just added a baby girl to the family and he got a little jealous (he chewed up a couple of her outfits) but we paid him a little more attention and he has adjusted just fine. He has been such a wonderful part of our family and I don't know what we'd do without him!
-Julie
I just want to tell you that considering the risk of buying a dog on line, I made the best decision. Paulie, that schnoodle, is the cutest dog in the whole world. he is so loving and fabulous and a great protective watch dog. He also is the smartest dog I have ever had. I'll send you a photo when he is all grown up. he is a giant galloomph of a dog
Thanks,

Wanted to give you an update on our new baby...Mr. Sulu
Friday, he was a bit disoriented – a few ‘accidents’, but he was starting to get used to everything and everyone, and we expected that. We had company that night, and he was very shy – he didn’t warm up to people. I think he was overwhelmed. But I was amazed at how quickly he bonded with David and I – he stuck to us like glue, even that first nite! And….when we sat down for dinner, David put him on his bed a few times – after that, he stayed there and chewed on his bone while we ate – no begging! Friday nite, we put him in his crate for the nite, and he cried……he was much better when we left the door to our bedroom open so that he could see us and hear us talking (his crate is in the laundry room right across from our bedroom).
Saturday, he was a bit perkier, but still very quiet. He very quickly acclimated to his ‘potty spot’ out behind the trees in the back yard, and knows exactly what he needs to do when we take him out there (thank you, Heather!!!!). I don’t think he’s figured out the bells at our house yet, but that’s probably because we take him out so often, he doesn’t have to ring them at this point. He is curious – goes all over checking things out – but so far has not bothered any of the Christmas decorations, etc. He is a dream to walk – Heather, you did a great job on the loose leash! Sometimes I have to check to see that he is still on the other end!! He is also great in the car – he lays right down and is very calm during the ride. He cried again Saturday nite….he does not like to be separated from us! During the day, he fell asleep in the kitchen and I walked into the laundry room – when he woke up and I was gone, he started yipping and looking all over the house for me!
Sunday he was perkier yet – but still the calmest tempered puppy I have ever met! He is playful and engaged, and likes to be with us, but doesn’t jump or constantly pester to be petted. He follows us wherever we go, lays down by our feet when we have our morning coffee, etc. What’s up with that???? How did you breed the perfect dog????? Our son Andy came over for dinner Sunday afternoon, and Sulu warmed up to him immediately – the first person he did not have ‘stranger danger’ with. And….Andy is allergic to dogs – when he’s watched the neighbor’s dogs, he’s had to take antihistimines and gets a rash if he doesn’t wash immediately – he didn’t have that problem at all with Sulu! Sulu laid on his bed during Sunday dinner – no begging, and only had to be told once! Sunday nite, we were exhausted from the previous nites, and decided to risk it and leave him out of his crate – he was perfect! He slept on the floor at the foot of the bed, or on the tile in the bathroom (in the doorway so he could keep an eye on us….I think he expects us to disappear!!!) – I got up once during the nite and took him out, and he came back in and laid right back down. We still crate him when we are gone during the day – this week I will come home every day to walk him at around noon. Next week we’ll have a houseful of company, so that won’t be a problem. After they leave, we’ll try putting him in his indoor/outdoor kennel when we’re at work, so he can get out and walk around in a restricted indoor-outdoor area – we’ll see if he likes that better than being confined – I think he will.
Next week the invisible fence guy is coming out to place the flags and acclimate him to the yard – I’m looking forward to being able to play with him in the yard ‘off leash’ - and he’ll get more exercise that way (we just can’t move as fast as he can)…..tho already I am getting more walking exercize than I have in the last year – sooo good for us!!!!
A few things I’ve noticed:
· He seems more comfortable with women than men. He loves David, but follows me around more. So I have David do all the fun things (feed him, give him training treats, take him for walks) and I do the unpopular things (put him in his crate when we go out…..) Heather, did you do most of the training? Sounds like you have a female-dominated household, so mabe he just is more used to women.
· Our neighbor’s 4 year old came over to visit – she has a dog and a cat, and is very well behaved and knows how to be gentle. Sulu seemed the most timid with her – never aggressive, but backed away – was clearly not comfortable with her. We had her sit with us, and gave her treats to give him – he came up and licked her fingers and let him pet her, but didn’t cozy up. I know that will change as he acclimates. Has he had any experiences with small children? He’ll go over to the neighbor’s often to play with their lab when they get back from their pre-christmas vacation, so I’m sure that he’ll acclimate to Athena very quickly
Overall, he’s GREAT!!!! I can’t believe how gentle he is, even at this young age – he has a very sweet disposition. And it is already clear that he learns quickly (on your bed during dinnertime, etc) – we’re working with him on ‘out of the kitchen’ so that he’s not underfoot as we make dinner and do dishes – a bit of a challenge because he is glued to my leg…..and the kitchen is where all the good crumbs are!!! J We have decided we should have called him tarantula – his legs are so sprawly, he looks like a fuzzy spider when he sprawls on the floor…..We just can’t believe how good he is already. David is in love (I should be jealous, right????)…..this is really his first dog, and he is so funny!!!!
So….we love him already, and are having so much fun. He was soooo worth waiting for, and Heather, the training time with you has really made this an easy transition for us. Thanks SO much to both of you for everything – and I’ll continue to keep you posted, and will send more pics.
Happy Holidays!!!
Chris and David
